Paediatric Braces and Supports for Children
Find knee, wrist and shoulder supports for children and younger patients, along with paediatric crutches. The range includes the Healthcare Bear Arm Sling for infants, the Strapilax Knee in a paediatric size, and selected knee and wrist braces available in smaller sizes.
Knee, wrist and shoulder support
For mild knee support, the Strapilax Knee is available in a paediatric size. The Playmaker II X-ROM starts at size XS and offers adjustable range-of-motion settings for rehabilitation. Wrist options include the DuoForm Universal Wrist Immobilizer, RespiForm Wrist, RespiForm+ Wrist & Thumb Brace and Comfortform Wrist, while the Healthcare Bear Arm Sling provides an infant-sized option for supporting the arm.
Paediatric crutches and fitting
DonJoy Paediatric Elbow Crutches are designed for users under 1.35 metres tall and include adjustable handle and cuff heights. Brace sizing may use limb circumference, side or another body measurement, so use the chart for the selected product. A health professional can help fit crutches and braces with range-of-motion settings.
Supporting a safe return to activity
A comfortable brace should feel secure without causing pain, numbness, colour change or pressure marks. Return to PE or sport depends on the injury, healing and treatment plan, so follow advice from the child’s doctor, physiotherapist or specialist. Arrange an assessment after a significant fall or sports injury, or when pain, swelling, movement or weight-bearing is a concern.
